Tim graduated from Greenville Senior High School. Playing Baseball and wrestling through his high school years. After graduating he attended Maple Woods Junior College in Kansas City, Missouri majoring in labor relations, Going on to play baseball for two years, batting leadoff and playing second base. He became a licensed high school baseball umpire in 1978 after retiring in 2003 with 25 years of service. He was a charter member of the Darke County Umpires Association which still thrives today. Officiated high school basketball for 10 years. Worked state finals fours in the spring baseball seasons as well as ACME state finals in the summer along with more games in between than can be recalled. In 1988 he became an ACME District Commissioner as well as a ACME State board of director. Tim played an instrumental part in developing the Junior ACME Baseball program as it exists today. Having been involved in more community activites and associations than can be recalled however he has contributed many years in the Greenville youth baseball program as an officer and volunteer. Tim was also involved as being an instrumental leader in the restructuring and continuation of the local Greenville ACME baseball teams in the early 90’s. He currently presides as President of the Darke HM Parshall Memorial Futurity, the oldest horse racing futurity in our country. Also has trained harness race horses for over 25 years which have raced all over the Midwestern United States. Tim has been employed by the City of Greenville serving as the Superintendent of Streets. |
